~ How to be a Sponsor ~

Lawson Entertainment is inviting businesses to be sponsors for "The Bluegrass Express Show" and "The Sweet Brenda & Him Show". The "Bluegrass Express" is aired each Wednesday Evening from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (To Our knowledge, this is the only work day "Drive-time, Prime-time" bluegrass show on FM radio on the East Coast).

The "Sweet Brenda & Him Show" is aired each Sunday morning from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. (This show has been on air since November 2003). Both shows are hosted by Brenda and Calvin Lawson, on WBBC 93.5 FM in Blackstone, VA.

Bluegrass music is one of the fastest growing forms of music today (In 2003 over eight million people purchased bluegrass music - Simmons Marketing Research). Bluegrass music popularity is also demonstrated by the number of bluegrass festivals and shows held each year. The first bluegrass festival was held in Virginia and the Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine list 26-bluegrass festivals to be held in Virginia, and 36 for North Carolina for the year 2004. There is over 700 bluegrass festivals scheduled nationwide. Attendance at these festivals varies in numbers from a couple hundred people to tens of thousands per event. Many of the bluegrass fans attend multiple festivals pulling travel trailers and driving motor homes to enjoy their bluegrass!

WBBC is located in Blackstone, Virginia is a 25,000 watt FM station that covers central and southern Virginia and into northern North Carolina. WBBC's format is Country Music and Sports, and now Bluegrass Music. WBBC is Southside Virginia's strongest FM station and a listening base of potentially over one million listeners. Lawson Entertainment purchases their airtime from WBBC and sells advertising time to recover the cost.
